Cajun Christmas   Leave a comment

We are having SO much fun this Christmas.  On Saturday, the 24th, we all went to Cafe Des Amis in Breaux Bridge, LA, for breakfast.  We got there just before 8:00 a.m., and the place was full, so we waited at the bar for awhile chatting and trying out the Bloody Marys.  The Zydeco band started playing at 8:30 a.m., and immediately the dance floor was full.  You never saw so many people instantly start having fun.  Probably around 9:00 – 9:15 a.m., we got a table, and before 9:30 a.m. , I was on the dance floor, too.  For breakfast I had Egg Begnaud (eggs with crawfish etouffee on top) and andouille cheese grits and grilled biscuit.  Super fun!

Theresa Landry’s 90th Birthday   Leave a comment

Imagine... 90 years old and still teaching tap.

Attended my former dancing teacher’s 90 birthday party last month.  She looked fabulous, and it was great fun seeing old friends from the dance studio like Eddie Badessa and Gloria Dorais.  It was a wonderful evening, and we surprised Theresa by doing a soft shoe.  It’s been a lot of years since I danced, but one rehearsal and it was just like the old days.  Great fun!
